I can give some props for what is here. It’s going to be extremely valuable to the community to see an example of how a Mega CD port can be done, and the smoother rotation of the special stages is a nice touch.

Can’t wait for you to get CD playback working or get any other effects going! Maybe even utilize the Mega CD CPU for some other heavier logic to get some graphic effects going? Maybe an example of the rotation feature in action? (as it seems like the special stages still only use prerendered sprites; if they don’t, I apologize)

I also can actually see the port is an active work-in-progress as we speak. I wish you luck on it!

However, when I try to judge what’s actually in the contest build, I see the feature that you’d most likely want Sega CD for, the CD audio, missing. And the PCM sound driver just doesn’t work right on the actual hardware (while the whole point of the entry was to port the game to that hardware!). And there are numerous bugs with the actual game.

Maybe it was just a bit too undercooked for the SHC this year?
